Certain health conditions entail incontinence and other toileting problems. To ensure our clients’ safety and comfort, our staff provides toileting assistance when necessary. Our caregivers, companions, and home health aides help make sure that the individuals under our care can spend their daily lives with ease by providing the following services:
- Changing diapers
- Changing colostomy bag or emptying catheter bag
- Assisting on or off the bedpan
- Assisting with the use of a urinal
- Assisting with feminine hygiene needs
- Assisting with clothing during toileting
- Assisting with toilet hygiene including the use of toilet paper and washing hands
- Changing external catheter
- Providing standby assistance
- Preparing toileting supplies and equipment (this does not include preparing catheter equipment)
